Description
Leaf sprays in indigo, set in panels on cream. The quietest thing we print.
A white duvet asks nothing of a room. A counterpane printed by hand gives it pattern, colour and the mark of a person: it is the difference between a bedroom that is tidy and one that is dressed.
The Fernleaf is printed by hand on cotton, one colour at a time, each colour pressed on with its own carved wooden block.
Look closely and you will see where one block meets the next, and the small shifts of colour between them. That is how you can tell cloth printed by a hand from cloth printed by a machine. It comes with two pillowcases printed to match.

How it hangs
A curtain pole slides through the cotton sleeve on the back, so nothing is nailed through the weaving. A 28 mm wooden pole and a pair of brackets from any hardware shop will carry it. Fixings for every kind of wall

Will I have to pay anything when it arrives?
No. Duties and taxes are paid by us before the parcel reaches you. There is no card through the door, no payment link and no collection from a depot. What you pay at checkout is the whole amount.
How much is delivery?
Delivery to any UK address is £75, and free on orders of £499 or more. It is shown beside the price, in the basket and at checkout, and duties and taxes are paid by us either way.
How long does it take?
Each panel is cut to your measurements and its edge bound first, which can take up to two days. Orders then join the week’s consignment, which is sealed in Malwa on Thursday evening. Transit is then 6 to 10 days to any UK address.
What if it does not suit the room?
You can cancel any order within 24 hours of paying, for any reason. After that, a panel is made to your measurements and cannot be cancelled for a change of mind. Weaving households in the Malwa region of Madhya Pradesh, central India, with the family workshop that binds, finishes and packs each piece.
Why are there no reviews?
Because nobody has written one about this piece yet, and we will not invent any. Writing reviews that were never received is against the law in the United Kingdom, and it is the quickest way to lose someone who buys with judgement.
Do you deliver outside the United Kingdom?
Not yet. England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland only. Write to us if you are elsewhere and we will tell you plainly whether we can manage it.
